Miss You...

This is my 2nd post today.
Please scroll down to see my layout for Lasting Memories.  :)
Happy Monday once again!!  There is a new challenge at Digi Darla's today.
It's a SKETCH challenge from DENISE, our challenge coordinator. Yay!!

Here is the sketch.

I wanted to keep my card simple... but with the full effect of a Hot Air Balloon in the sky.  So I used clusters of clouds where the circles are and cut out my Digital Image for extra 3D pop.  The image I used is called "Up and Away Balloon."

You have a chance to win up to 8 FREE Digi Images for playing along!  5 just for playing and 3 more if you use a Digi Darla image.  Hope to see you try out the sketch.  Who doesn't love a good sketch??  The rest of the DT gals did some fun ideas.  Take a look HERE.

I'm also entering my card at Color Throwdown # 250.  They are celebrating 5 years!  I fell in love with the color combo!

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Crafting.

Flowers and more Flowers - DDC # 55

Good Monday morning!!  Today is another challenge over at Digi Darla's.  This week's theme is...

FLOWERS
Use Flowers on your projects

You can enter this challenge using any Digi or Stamped image of your choice from any company!!  You have a chance to win 5 images just for playing.  If you happen to use an image from Digi Darla's... you have a chance to win an additional 3 images.  So 8 images total.  Not a bad gig.

Here's my card...
Using Digi Darla image "Dancing Dahlia's"

I am always needing cards without sentiments "Just ready to go."  That is one of these.  I need to have a few more on hand.  Anything from "Thinking of you" to "Get Well" to ???  would work with this.

I am also entering my card over at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge # 180 using the following sketch.

Thanks for stopping by today!!  Have a great day.

"Feeling Sentimental" - DDC # 46

Hi everyone!  Today I bring you the latest challenge over at Digi Darla's!!  It's a simple one really!!
And... the DT call is being extended for another week, so be sure to check that out too!!  :)  And one other little note... ANY IMAGE is allowed for our challenges.  You are entered to win just for playing!  A NEW RULE just added this week, if you use a Digi Darla image, you are entered into a 2nd drawing for 3 FREE images.  You can't beat that!!  Now for our challenge...  It's all about...

FEELING SENTIMENTAL
Let's see those SENTIMENTS on your creations

I used a fun Digi Darla sentiment called "Be Happy to Creative"

This card actually fits me so well.  Or at least everything I strive to be.  I was thinking I was going to give this to one of my creative friends, but the more I look at it, I just may give it to myself.  :)  Maybe frame it?  Or I just may make 2!!  Now that you all have let my mind wander on here a little... (Thanks.)

I also found 2 other challenges that inspired me with my card...

ColourQ # 172 - Melon Mambo, Summer Starfruit, Poppy Parade, Basic Gray + White.  These colors just wake me right up!!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday # 189 - Always love their sketches!!

Thanks all for stopping by today!  For those of you in the U.S., hope you enjoying your MLK day!!  I know I am!!  ~Michele

Master Hop List

Supplies:
Digi Darla digital Image - Colorful Sailboat (from September 2012 New Releases)
A - Muse Stamps - "Life's a Breeze" sentiment
Stampin' Up Products-  DSP Patterns pack - Daffodil Delight, Cardstock:  Tangerine Tango, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Island Indigo, Twine in Island Indigo, Designer Button from Holly Berry Bouquet, 1" Circle punch, 1 1/2" Circle punch, Scallop Edge Border punch, Markers:  Real Red, Pool Party, Yoyo Yellow, Island Indigo.  Close to Cocoa & Brocade Blue colored pencils used with blender pen.
Creative Memories - Oval Cutting Template 3 7/8" x 3"

How I put this card together:
1.  This is your basic 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" size card. (Crumb Cake card stock)
2.  I cut the white background to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".
3.  Before adhering the white base onto the Crumb Cake card, I cut two 1" x 5 3/8" strips of Island Indigo card stock.  The top one I used the 1" circle punch and made consecutive "half circle" punches to simulate waves.
4.  The bottom one I also used the 1" circle punch and again cut "half circle" punches, but lined them along the bottom to create a bigger scallop.
5.  I then cut a 1" piece of crumb cake card stock and and used the scallop border punch on each side.
6.  Before adhering that on top of the Island Indigo pieces, I wrapped a single piece of twine along with  the red button and secured with a glue dot and tied a bow.
7.   Using the 1 1/2" circle punch, punch out whole circle from Tangerine Tango card stock.
8.  Place under tips of the waves on the left and hanging over the side of the white card stock a bit.
9.  Cut six 1/4" x 5" pieces of Daffodil Delight patterned paper.  Place these in a "Sunburst" pattern extending from the center Tangerine Tango circle.  These pieces will overhang the white card stock.
10.  Once all placed, simply cut off the excess of the strips and the center circle so it is all flush with the edges.
11.  Adhere entire white card base down onto Crumb Cake card.
12.  Color up Digi Image and cut using 3 7/8" x 3" measurement and then backing with slightly bigger piece of Island Indigo card stock.
13.  Place on top of card front using dimensionals or pop dots.
14.  Finish off card with simple stamped sentiment in Island Indigo ink at the bottom.
