Playing Catch Up!! First up... PLG #12 "Happy New Year" Challenge

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of my friends and followers!!  So glad to keep these fun bloggy relationships going!!    Not to mention my inspiration to make paper projects!!  Thank you for taking the time to visit and for leaving me fun loving comments!  I always love to come see what you are up to!!  Here is to 2012!!

Here is the first of 2 projects that I am going to share with you today. Over at Paper Lovin' Gals Ch #12, we have a "Happy New Year" photo inspirational challenge going on.  You have until Tuesday 1/3/12 at 8pm PST to link up!!  Hope to see you!!  Here is my take...

This is New Year's Eve 2010.  My Hubby was nursing an arm after wrist surgery.  So "Home is where the Heart is."  We played board games, watched a movie, did a slumber party in the living room, watched the midnight fireworks both on TV and around our house.  (Legal here... sounded like a war zone.)  Fun way to kick back and ring in the new year with our kids!!
And here is the inspirational photo from Paper Lovin' Gals to follow...

And a few close-ups to show you my fun hole punched colored numbers and my rosette folded clock!!

I also used a sketch from Sketches in Thyme... but too late to enter.  :-(

And here are few Challenges that I am participating in with my layout.  Wish me luck!  :-)

Whimsical Designs - Share either your favorite project from the last year or make a new one celebrating a new year.  You have until January 11th at Midnight EST.

Paper Issues - "We've got your Number."  Whatever that means to you.  I have the lovely 10 to 1 countdown until midnight featured.  ;-)  You have until January 13th to share as many "Number" projects as you wish.

Getting Cricky - "Simply Sunday Challenge" - "It's a Celebration" -  My layout shows celebrating the new year. You have until January 14th to share a Celebration project of your choice.

Thanks so much for visiting!!  I will have a 2nd layout to share later on today with you.  So be sure to stop back by!!
Happy first day of the new year!!!

LMCB 59 "TAG" You're it! - Back to School 2011 Layout

Good morning everyone!!  Today over at Lasting Memories Ch 59 we want you to show off those TAGS on your layouts!!

I've got a couple on my layout.  The "2011" and the "2".  This is one of those layouts that "Grabs" at me as I am finishing the final touches.  My kiddos on the first day of school and the 2nd part of the journaling says  "You could not say 'Goodbye' fast enough."  A happy/sad moment for sure.  The kids LOVE school and I feel sorry for myself that they aren't itty bitty babies anymore.  ;-)

Karen, from Lasting Memories also provided this SKETCH to follow.  But, it's to help you.  You don't have to use it for the challenge.

I personally chose to use it.  It worked GREAT for my photo!  So let's see those TAGS on your layouts this week!!  You have until Saturday, October 15th @ 9pm EST to link up.  Excited to see what you can do!!

I am also entering this into the Getting Scrappy Ch 18 - "Get INKY" - You need to show a Cricut/SVG cut somewhere on your layout and that you used INK.
My Apple and main part of my Title are my Cricut cuts and my stamped apples around the circle and the "2" tag qualify for my INK.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!  Have a great day!!
