LMCB #97 - 12 x 12 American Girl Doll layout

Good Evening... Good Morning... depending on where you are in the world!!  :-)  It's time for the next fun challenge over at Lasting Memories!!  This week we are "Digging for GOLD."  We want to see gold paper, brads, eyelets, paint, glitter.. anything that you have that is GOLD that you can put on your layout... we want to see it!!

Here is what I have to share with you...

This is this last Fall... we took our daughter to the "Amercian Girl Doll" Store for the very first time.  The store had just opened up the prior summer just 30 minutes from our house and we hadn't been to visit yet.  So off we went with DOLL "Bella" in tow to find some fun things!!
I used GOLD brads and GOLD stars as my GOLD additions.  Otherwise most of the layout is done with Doodlebug Design "Sweet Cakes" paper pack and some Stampin' Up Cardstock.  I also used the "American Girl" title cut from the actual shopping bag from the trip.  Some ink pens to doodle, some ribbon and VOILA!

I am also entering my layout over at Artful Delight ASC #21 July Sketch Challenge.  Thank you Leeanne for this great sketch!!!

And...I couldn't pass up the chance to enter over at Scrap it with a Song where their song choice for their challeng is Tom Petty's "American Girl."  PERFECT!!  And my my Husband will be happy since this is in his TOP 5 for all time song favorites!!

Come join us over at Lasting Memories by this Saturday 7/21 at 9pm EST and be "Featured" or a part of our TOP 3 for the week.  Ohhh... and bonus... Karen only needs 5 more followers to reach her goal of 300.  Become a follower and you will be put in the hat for a chance at a fun Surprise Goodie bag!!  Can't beat that!!

I so envy you having an excuse to go to American Girl! Love the use of the reds and gold. And taking the store name from the bag is a cool idea!
