Lasting Memories First 2015 Challenge with a Blog Hop!! "Life's Simple Pleasures"

Hello and welcome to our very first challenge for 2015 at Lasting Memories! We're celebrating the new year and new Design Team with a blog hop. Super fun right?! If you're just starting the hop, be sure to start at Lasting Memories so you don't miss anyone - if you're last stop was Kimberly then you're on the right track!

Our challenge theme this entire month is "Life's Moments" and our first challenge is "Life's Simple Pleasures" .. we want to know what one of your simple pleasure's in life is. Chocolate? Coffee? Adorable children, pets or grandchildren?? SO many things to consider and we're excited to see what you create! What's my Simple Pleasure??? Here, let me show you!

This is from a trip that our family took over a long weekend last February with the rest of our very large family.  26 people in all.  So the little blip of time that my Hubby and I got to spend outside both during and after a big Snow Storm that had hit, was caught on camera.  :)  Love it when that happens.  We don't see snow super often where we live, so seeing it in these huge amounts last winter was quite fun.  It's the simple pleasures that make me happy.

Your next stop is our beloved Blog Owner, Karen!!!... and when you're all done visiting the new Design Team, we really hope you'll have time to join the fun! All our challenges run for the entire month, so you have time to play! Thanks for stopping by today!

Thankful Thoughts of You

HELLO!!!!!!  I have not disappeared!!  Although, you would think that!  My poor blog has been a little lonely over the last 2 weeks plus!  We had a mini getaway and then just lots of "Life" things that come up and get in the way.  Nothing negative... just busy.  :)  So with that in mind... I have a "Thankful" card to share  just in time for Thanksgiving!!  I know my blog is screaming CHRISTMAS... but I'm trying to get ahead of the game.  And I think I'm a little excited for the Holidays this year!

It's time for the latest challenge over at Digi Darla's!!

DDC # 38 is all about "Thanksgiving / Thank you / Thankful!"

I used an image from Digi Darla's called "FALL FRUITS"

The winner will receive 5 images from Digi Darla's Designs!!!

You do not have to use a Digi Darla image to play!  But if you do, you get 2 ENTRIES in the drawing... and

1 Entry using any image you want.  So come join us!!

I am also entering my card over at Pals Paper Arts # 147 - an Inspiring Sketch Challenge

And another inspiring challenge is with the gals over at

Frosted Designs - Fabulous Friday Color/Theme Challenge

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

See you soon with a layout for the latest Lasting Memories Challenge "STAMP" those layouts

(and my winner of blog candy.)

Pals Paper Arts Sketch # 135 - "Celebrate" card

Another quick post for you today.  I made this birthday card for my Mom

following the current PPA 135 sketch challenge.  It's fun to join challenges that I always see, but don't always have the time.  Always love their challenges.

When I think of my Mom (along with my Dad)... I think of "Celebrating the Simple things."  They are TRUE examples of this.  They do what they want to do when they want to do it, with whom they want and basically enjoy each day as it happens.  I have learned a lot from them.  Life is what matters most.  It's too short to sweat the small stuff.

Soo... here is my card...

and their sketch...

Thanks for visiting!  I will be back yet again...

with a Layout to share for the current challenge that just started over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges LMCB 89.  Stay Tuned!!
