1st Birthday and ALOT of CAKE Double Scrap Layout

Happy Weekend everybody!!  Hope you are all doing what you want to be doing and hopefully that includes some paper creating!!  I managed to complete a double page scrap layout of my Daughter's 1st birthday celebration.  My daughter is turning 8 next month... so as you can see... YES... I am behind when it comes to scrappin' birthday pictures.  I think I get intimidated by the amout of photos that I take and everyone else takes... so I never know what to pick.  So I decided to zero on a few from her party with the focus being on the infamous 1st ever CAKE indulgence.

 Enjoy!!

I am entering this into the Scrappy Saturdays with the Bug 3 challenge, where the theme was to do a birthday celebration.  I will thank them for that challenge... because it got me to DO THIS.  :-)  Go check out their challenges when you can... they are just starting and have some fun inspiration to share.  Amanda and Melissa host the challenges every other week.

I am also entering this into the Simple Sunday Challenge with K. Andrews at Gettin' Cricky, where the theme is "Sugar & Spice with alot of nice."  I also just recently found this blog, and it's a fun one!!  Lots of fun stuff to check out.
Have a GREAT night and see you all soon!!

This LO is so precious. Funny how time gets away from us. All the elements are awesome but the title takes the "cake". LOL

Love it! I agree the cake photos are the most important ones. Good choice :) I love the way you did the journaling.

I have actually been doing photobooks for each bday - I just design them on my computer and send them for printing. That way I can include all the photos of decorations and such without having to scrap them all and each bday has it's own book. Then I only scrap a few quick pages of my very favorite photos of the bday girl or boy. Yes, maybe it's cheating to order photo books, but for bdays it really helps me!!!
