DDC 59 - Earth Day - Use at least 1 recycled item

It's time for another fun challenge over at Digi Darla's.  

In honor of Earth Day, this week's challenge is all about showing our GREEN and we want to see at least

1 recycled item used on your project.

It can be as simple as scraps.

  I am dedicating this post to our lovely daughter that turned the big double digits yesterday.  Ugh!  Time flies!

In honor of her B-day... I made this 8 x 8 mini layout/card for her that highlighted bits and pieces of her last 10 years.  She loved it!

My recycled items used are... punched out circles from scraps, ribbon that was tied around a notepad cube and then the 10 glorious photos that I scanned into the computer and then up-cycled into this photo collage.

Hoppier Days ahead for you... - DDC 58 and FMS 81

Good morning!  I'm here to share with you the newest challenge over at DIGI DARLA'S!!  Our theme this week is...

HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?

Show us your flowers, trees, veggies... basically anything that GROWS in a garden.  

Well in my case, I couldn't resist using this adorable image called "FROGGY SHOWERS."  It's one of Digi' Darla's New Releases this month.  The mushroom umbrella definitely depicts the growth of ugly mushrooms in our garden.  That's what we get with all of our rain.  

Besides the Digi Darla image, all of my products used are from Stampin' Up.  SU Markers and Cardstock in Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade and Baja Breeze and a few other colors used to color the digi image,  Floral District DSP,  Lucky Limeade organza ribbon, flower buttons, clouds embossing folder and PROUD MOMENT... I came up with the sentiment all on my own.  I've seen the word "Hoppier" used with Frogs and Bunnys... but added the rest myself.  

I am also entering my card over at Freshly Made Sketches # 81 where they are all about clean and simple.  Just gotta remind myself to walk away.  :)

"Remember the simple things"... - LMCB 135 Use Your Stash

Hello!!  Boy... I guess I have been amiss for almost 2 week. Yikes.  Well let's get right to it.  I'm here to tell you about the next challenge going on over at Lasting Memories # 135. It's all about...

USING YOUR STASH

Get those scraps, random pieces of ribbon, or basically anything that has been sitting around taking up space.  :)

Well... this was as simple as pie for me.. for my Husband constantly reminds me of my "Store" I have in our downstairs.  Creative minds need lots of choices.  Right?

Here is my layout...

I basically raided my scrap box for the paper strips... which all happen to be a part of the "Floral District" DSP from Stampin' Up.  My title is some very old chipboard piece along with some random alpha stickers.  The clouds and sun are punched out of scraps.  

I am also entering this over at My Scraps and More Sketch # 24.  I followed their great sketch.  First time playing along with their challenge. 

It goes until May 2nd.

Sweet Baby - DDC # 56 (Laughter or Brings a Smile)

Oh my...  I am a tad late to this party!  My kids are on Spring Break this week... and I actually created this card a week ahead of time!  Completely forgot to post!  So sorry!!  Well here you are and here is the latest challenge over at Digi Darla's!!  

Being that yesterday was April Fool's, the theme of this weeks challenge is 

LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE  

Create a project that is humorous or simply brings a smile!!

I chose the "Bringing a SMILE" part of the challenge.  Who can't smile at the thought of a new baby?!!  

I used Digi Darla's image called "Cuddly Elephant."  

I made this card for my Niece.  They were revealing whether it was a boy or a girl... so I had to go with the neutral theme of yellow until we found out.  They are having a BOY!!  So fun!!  

She loves Elephants and Chevrons... she indeed loved my card.  Always makes me smile.

Just Us - LMCB # 132 (Clean and Simple) and a DT call!!!!

Good morning everyone!!  We have a great challenge over at
 Lasting Memories Layout Challenges #132 that starts today!
 It's all about CAS or "Clean and Simple." 

(Go to bottom of this post for info. about a DT call!!! )

 I feel that most of my layouts are on the clean and simple side.  If I add too much... they won't fit into my albums.  Here is my layout to share...  Other than the simplicity of the layout in general... I want to highlight that my title is "Simple" as well. My Husband planned a fun date night for US for my birthday celebration last month.  The highlight was seeing Cirque Du Soleil, Amaluna.  Oh My... talk about performers with no fear and such strength!  Wish I had photos to share... but none allowed.

 My first layout for 2013.  Yay!!  I still have about 8 years of random layouts to do... but who's keeping track?  :)

All supplies are from Stampin' Up except the alpha stickers for the title.
