Happy Birthday Double Layout! LMCB # 128 "Use Pockets"

Hello everyone!  Well I did it!  I promised my daughter that I would scrap her birthday party photos from last year and I FINALLY did it!!  :)  Birthday layouts always make me think too much for I take way too many pictures!!

I am also here to bring you the challenge that has started over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges.  We want to see those POCKETS on your layouts!  Where ever and how ever...it's up to you!!  Here is my layout to share.  You can see my pocket in the middle with a tag sticking out.  I put basic journaling on the outside of the pocket and then the tag has the names of the guests along with their gifts.  I will also be adding an additional pocket to the back of the layout for extra photos and the invitation etc.

I am also sharing this with the Ladies over at Sketches in Thyme # 103 for their 3rd sketch challenge for the month of February.  I am skating into their challenge in the last hours.  :)  Here is their sketch that I followed...

Good Monday morning Everyone!  I had an unintentional 2 week absence.  My apologies!  Life got busy and fun!  :)    But I am here to bring you the next challenge starting over at

Well I chose to share a card with you that I made for my Nephew who is turning 2 next month.  He and his family have a pet turtle named SPIKE who he just loves and my Nephew has also just shown some interest in his "Bike" or Tricycle. 

 So how perfect is this image from Digi Darla called "Timmy Bike?"  

This was a fun card to put together.  I don't do cards for Boys or Men much, so this was a nice change of pace.  So I really encourage you to join our Masculine themed challenge this week and get that card done that you keep putting off.  You have a chance to win 5 FREE images from Digi Darla just for playing along.  And another 3 images for actually using a Digi Darla image.  So 2 different ways to win!!

Here is mine... using Digi Darla image "Be my Valentine! Couple." 

This is my card for my Husband.  He NEVER checks out my blog... so he better not decide to this week either.  :)  Besides the Digi Darla image, most of my products are from Stampin' Up.  I am most proud of my envelope embellishment that I paper pieced together.  Yay me!!  Come on over to Digi Darla's this week for your chance to win 5 or even up to 8 FREE digi images!!

DDC 48 - Scrap Layout "Love is in the Air"

Good morning Monday!!  It's another fun challenge starting today over at DIGI DARLA'S.  Its all about showing...

**YOUR STYLE**

How darn easy is that??  Just create something that best shows your personal style on your cards, layouts, 3-d projects.  You automatically get a chance to win just for playing along.  BUT... if you happen to use a DIGI DARLA image, you get 2 chances to win!! 

I chose to create a scrapbook page for this challenge.  Yes.. getting those photos and stories on paper.  :)  I used a DIGI DARLA image called "Puppies Up 2."  

I would say that my style is fun colors, pretty papers, cleaner lines with a bit of whimsical.  I pretty much just make whatever comes to mind and fits my photos or theme.  This is a 12 x 12 page, so as you can see, the Digi Darla image of the Puppy and Balloons was enlarged to really stand out on my page.  LOVE what you can do with these digis!!  (Oops.. this was actually 2012, not 2011. Already changed on my layout)

I am also joining the Ladies over at Frosted Designs for their Fabulous Friday Challenge.  Use the word "LOVE" plus a HEART.  I got right on that one!!  :)

And I had a bit of sketch help from My Scraps and More Sketch # 14.  Their first February sketch!  I followed the "Grid" of the sketch mostly and adding the strip/strips of paper behind the photos.  The 3 balloons take the place of the "stars" and had to move my title up top to hang with my clouds.  The only slight difference.

"Bananas over the Bus!" - LMCB # 125 with more challenge inspo from Boys Rule Scrapbooking

Hey.. It's Sunday!!  My favorite day of the week!!  Here in the U.S. it's the big SUPERBOWL day... so we are off to watch the final football game of the season.  I am torn on who I am rooting for.  But that doesn't stop me from entering a few football pools and maybe win some extra cash.  :)  ANYWAYS...

Let's see anything FRUITY on your layout this week.

I had so many ideas for this one!  I hope you do too.  I took the theme literally and this is what I did...

The journaling speaks for itself, but basically it was my son's "Off" day of attending Kindergarten and there was an entire 4 class field trip that he wanted to do.  He was WAY MORE excited about going on a school bus for the very first time without his Mom.  Pretty funny!  Oh... and he says the movie was good too.  :)

I am also entering my layout over at Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kits where it is their first EXTREME MONTHLY challenge.  The challenge is to use a GRID on your project.  Success!!

DDC 47 "Winter Blues"

Good morning all!  I am back to show you a card I have for the latest challenge over at Digi Darla's this week!!

 It's all about those WINTER BLUES!! 

We want to see mostly BLUE colors being used on your creation of choice.

Now I wasn't going to let the "Winter Blues" get to me completely.  :)  I chose to do a New Baby Boy card as you can see adding just a hint of red for some pop!!  But my card is 90% blue, so I'm good.  And new Babies are happy!  No singing the blues here.

I also had some help with a sketch from Deconstructed Sketch #86.  First time playing with these Ladies!!  Thanks for the great sketch.

And... I always like to see what my friends are up to from 4 Crafty Chicks.  This week it's all about buttons.  I managed to get 2 on my card.  3 pearls too!  But those aren't exactly buttons.

Lasting Memories # 124 with sketchy help from Boys Rule Scrapbooking

Happy Sunday!!  I am finally here to share the latest challenge with you over at Lasting Memories that started today!!
Our theme this week is ... Our son just started playing basketball for a team this year for the first time. He is having fun and is finally able to use his skills he does have on a court rather than just on our cement driveway.  He is young and learning and we are waiting for that first 2 points to happen.  (from him)  He is a good passer/dribbler!!  :)
