LMCB 106 - Sketch challenge using Flowers!! (I'm back with my layout)

Good morning everyone!!  We have an easy and straight forward challenge for you this week 

over at Lasting Memories!!!

Use the below Sketch and add Flowers to your layout!! 

 Easy Peasy!!  So easy.. that I sheepishly don't have mine ready yet.  :(

I can't honestly believe that I haven't scrapped these photos yet.  This is our daughter at 2 1/2 doing her Flower Girl Debut at my brother's wedding in 2005.  Yikes!!  Where does the time go??   Better yet... you all now know that I am not "Caught Up" with my photos.  But have so many precious memories scrapped special in albums.  And that is all that matters!!

LMCB 105 "It's in the Movies"

What??  You ask??  Yes... that is right.... our next challenge over at Lasting Memories is all about MOVIES.  This week we are going to the movies!  Our challenge for you is to use something from the movies on your layout.  This could be a theme, title, quote, photo... get creative!!

I got lucky with this one for I actually had pictures from when our family went to see the CARS 2 movie last summer.  Our son was just ecstatic about the whole thing so I had to capture his excitement.  He knows every line in the movie.  I'm not sure if that is good or bad??  :)  We own the movie... and there was a time when he would watch over and over and over.  Sort of glad that phase is done for a while.

A lot of the elements to this layout are from an older kit from Creative Memories.  I created the black and white strip down the left side with my square punch ... alternating colors.  Glad that I thought of that.  And I am lovin' banners these days.  :)

I am also entering this over at ScrapFit Warm-up # 31 where you have to use PATTERNED paper as your background paper.  Well this was a challenge for me... for I almost ALWAYS use plain cardstock and the add the fun papers on top.  I sort of had to reverse my thinking.

DDC 26 "For the Little Ones" 12 x 12 layout

Good Monday morning!!  It's time for the newest challenge over at Digi Darla's!!  This week the challenge is "For the Little Ones."  Meaning create a project that has to do with kids, for kids or about kids.  Well yay I say!!  Lots of kids photos I have to scrap.  This is our daughter in the 2nd grade during her first big debut as a Junior Cheerleader at our Local High school.  Pretty fun.  The High school cheerleaders taught 3 main cheers that all of the little girls learned in about 3 hours and then performed at halftime of the Basketball game.  They were great.  And so darn cute!!

LMCB # 103 - A Summer's End

Ahhhhh... it's almost the end of summer and school is starting in just under 1 1/2 weeks.  I think I am a bit excited... but oh to get into routines and alarms going off in the morning.???  Hmmm... sort of a win/loss.  It's been a GREAT summer and we have been oh so busy!!  

This week's challenge over at Lasting Memories is all about the End of Summer and WHAT DO YOU DO??  Do you take a last minute quick vacation?? Do you sit poolside one last time?  Is there an annual county fair that you attend?  Do you make a day out of school clothes shopping??  We want to see!!

My layout is showcasing photos from 2 summers ago.  We spent a day of Labor Day weekend over at the In-Laws Beach house.  It's a fun and relaxing BIG FAMILY get together where we just do whatever the heck we want, have a great dinner and say Goodbye to summer!  Wine, Fishing, Food and Family.  

This year... we are doing something similar.  Although we have been doing lots of "Cram it in the the end of summer" things lately.  I may just have more layouts to showcase this theme!!
