I'm a PERFECT PRINCESS!! (Read on to find out how you can be one too!)

Well.. not really.  But the Lovely Ladies from Freshly Made Sketches think I am!  Hee Hee.  Thank you for my HONOR!!

  My card below... was picked for their challenge #3 from last week.  Yay!!

Stayed tuned and go visit the Gals over their tomorrow... for that is when they start their new challenge for the week.  They are all about FRESHLY MADE and CLEAN card sketches!!  It's very refreshing!!

PPC 73 is getting to know Freshly Made Sketches!!

Happy Happy Monday to you all!  It's a new PPC-73 Color Combo Challenge!!  Old Olive, Basic Black and my new FAVORITE... Calypso Coral!!

This is a card I made for my Dad's birthday.  I don't have alot of masculine type crafy things... and honestly, we all know that most guys throw their cards away.  So... I decided to make what I call a "Scrappin' Card."  When in doubt, add a photo.  :-)  Of Grandkids.   He is sure to not be donating this to the round, aluminum cylinder anytime soon.  In fact, I think he said he might be puting this in his car to look at.  Or at least my Mom will.  Woo hoo... success!!

Cards For Izzy! Would love for you to be a part!!

I am reaching out to all of my Friends & Followers to let you know about a fellow DT member, Evanna, from my Lasting Layout Challenge Blog that is stepping down from the DT because they just found out their young daughter has Leukemia!  As a Mother myself, my heart sank.  I am so thrilled that KAREN, our Blog Owner, is doing this little "CARD PARTY" as I will call it.  :-)
Won't you please join us??  As I type this, my 2 children are downstairs attacking my craft supplies and making some cards.  They were very excited to help!

Lasting Memories Ch 57 - Use Frames & Flowers

Hello and Good morning!!  Today for Lasting Memories Ch 57, it's all about using FRAMES and FLOWERS.  Easy Peasy... and as I have shown, can be interpreted any way you like.  The flowers are obvious, but for the "Frame" part, I chose to showcase the whole layout by adding the paper strips around.  When I mat photos onto cardstock, that is my 'base" for a frame, and here I simply added photo corner punches to highlight and give it an all around finished, framed look.
I just love these pics of my daughter.  She is just 4 1/2 here and was HAPPY to smile for the camera for me this day. 
Brought a tear to my eye late last night as I was putting the finishing touches on.  Do any of you do that??  Get all emotional when scrappin'??  Would love to hear that I am not the only one.  :-)

Happy Birthday, Some Fun Winning News & Future Challenge Blog...

Just some random things that I want to acknowledge with all of you today!!  :-) 

Today is my Hubby's Birthday!!  I don't have a card to share with you.. .because I didn't make one.  Isn't that terrible??  Part of his gift is something handmade... so that will make up for it.  So HAPPY BIRTHDAY "B" !!!!  It's just another Candle on the Cake!

The 2nd thing... after just an "OK" day for me yesterday... PPC Specialty Ch. #10 - "Happy Anniversary"

Good morning scrappy/crafty friends!!  Today over at PPC Crafty Challenges, it's the 3rd Monday of the month where we bring you a "Specialty Challenge!!"  Something a little different to get your MOJO going.  This month's Specialty Challenge #10 is to use 3 Pieces of Designer/Patterned Paper on your project.
That's it! Simple enough!! 
I needed to whip up an Anniversary card for my Mom to give... so this was perfect for me.

More Than Favors - Wacky Wednesday #51 Anniversary Theme - A fun challenge blog that has new and different type of challenges a couple times a week.  Lots of Cricut creations on this blog.  If that is your crafty choice, then definitley give them a visit!!

PPC #72 meets Sketches in Thyme #55 - "Fishies" Pool Scrap Layout

It's Monday!!  Again!!  :-)  Well one good thing is we have a new Picture Perfect Creations Ch #72 color combo challenge for you.  Here is how I used the colors Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party and Whisper White...  ( I also used Crumb Cake for my background.. .I needed something to break it up a bit since I did a scrap page.)

The colors look a little muted in my photo for I didn't have natural light to help. 

But you get the idea.

I also decided to see if I could join the ranks with the Gals over at Sketches in Thyme ch # 55 where I roughly followed their sketch.  Their challenge is open throughout the month of September.  Go check them out if you are an avid scrapper!!!!
