Happy "50th" masculine B-Day card

Hello friends!!  It's not every day or even every month for that matter, that I make a masculine card.  They challenge me to no end.  I like frills and fluff... so had to put my thinking cap on for this one. My Mom needed a Poker/Casino type themed card for a friend that is turning the big 50!  I think I pretty much love how this turned out.  These ideas come to me in my sleep.  Go figure.  I could be thinking of worse things.  :)

So... most of the products used here are from Stampin' Up.  Cardstock, border punch, circle punch, "rectangle" hand held punch, white gel pen, real red marker and the Birthday sentiment.

The "50" are stickers from my stash and the card image is from google images.  :)  Gotta love the internet and a printer.  I did make that Poker Chip with my own 2 hands.  White and Red circle punch overlapped on each other with thin white gel pen lines in the center and the thicker white dashes are and OLD retired hand held punch from SU.

I used the MOJO Monday 348 sketch for my inspiration.

It's a contest this week as well.  :)

And I would also like to enter my card into "Splendiferous Creations" Blogger challenge. 

The challenge is to make a "MASCULINE" card.  

Yep... my challenge alright.

A card for my MOM...

How does the saying go? 

"Anyone can be a Mother, but it's only a special few that deserve to be called Mom." 

I may have tripped on those words a bit... but all in all my mother has most definitely earned the title "Mom."  She's the best!  

Here is a card that I made for her earlier this week... and am just now getting around to posting it.  Let's just say that days and hours and minutes all seem to be running together lately.  :)

My whole card is made from products with Stampin' Up... with the exception of the image itself  being from Digi Darla's.  

I followed the sketch from  FMS 136 - Freshly Made Sketches.  Whew... made the cut-off for their challenge.  Ends Monday at 12:00 noon.

I also used the colors from The Paper Players - PP195

But... their challenge closed on Friday.  Missed this one.  :(

But... they are now having a "CLEAN and SIMPLE Floral" challenge.

Lasting Memories # 188 Earth Day

Thinking of you... Using Monday Mojo + Colour Me...!!

Well greetings!!  So excited that I am finally posting.  Wanting to keep on this path. I had some time yesterday to create this for my Mom to give to a friend.  I am usually one that slathers my creations with patterened paper, but kept it simple white on white with the colored designs and embellies of course.  I used a retired stamp set from Stampin' Up called 5th Avenue Floral.  It's a good GO TO set. Hope you enjoy!!  

I used the sketch from Mojo Monday along with the colors from Colour Me...! challenge blogs.  They both end in the next day or two... so go check them out if you feel inspired.  :)

Lasting Memories 181 - Use Flowers!! 12 x 12 Layout "Tulip Fields"

Well what a perfect day to SPRING forward with our next challenge at Lasting Memories!  This is the second challenge for March.  All of our weekly challenges are open all month.  Come join us!  You have a chance for a monthly prize and to be our April GDT.

I was finally able to get a trip to the Tulip Fields scrapped from 2 years ago.  Sheesh.  My new mantra is to "Just get 'er done and down" so I don't forget the happenings and small little details that I find myself easily forgetting day to day. 

Lots of hand cut and hand punched items on my layout.  Wanted to keep it more on the simple side since the photos have so much color in them.
