Lasting Memories 181 - Use Flowers!! 12 x 12 Layout "Tulip Fields"

Well what a perfect day to SPRING forward with our next challenge at Lasting Memories!  This is the second challenge for March.  All of our weekly challenges are open all month.  Come join us!  You have a chance for a monthly prize and to be our April GDT.  
Challenge theme is   "Early Spring, Use Flowers on your Layout."
I was finally able to get a trip to the Tulip Fields scrapped from 2 years ago.  Sheesh.  My new mantra is to "Just get 'er done and down" so I don't forget the happenings and small little details that I find myself easily forgetting day to day. 

Lots of hand cut and hand punched items on my layout.  Wanted to keep it more on the simple side since the photos have so much color in them.

Digi Darla's #100 - "My Style"

Hey there!!  Happy Monday!! I'm here with a happy sunshiny card to showcase the next challenge starting at  Digi Darla's this week. It's all about ..."My Style."
Meaning... what is your go to preferred "Look" to your cards or scrap pages?  I tend to go for multiple patterns of paper, bright colors, layers, I love scallops and I always add faux stitching to wherever it may look good.  I also like creating scenes to my creations.  This is your basic size card as well.  I stick with the basic 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock, cut in half to get two perfect cards made.
I used Digi Darla Image "Forecasting Showers of Happiness."  (I made up the sentiment myself)

I'm Baaaaack...Lasting Memories #173 - SCRAPLIFTING

Oh it's 2014?? Okay.  :)  I sort of took an unintentional "Break" from crafting.  Or I should just say from posting to my Blog.  It's called crafting for others, busy Holidays, busy Kids, busy everything.  Whew!!  Needless to say... I am back into the swing of things and getting caught up on some scrapping!!  With that said, it's the newest challenge over at Lasting Memories today!! It's all about SCRAPLIFTING!!
ScrapLift a LO from a DT member! This is actually a double Scraplift challenge! Each of us, over the last week, chose a fellow DT members LO to scraplift and now it's your turn! Which of our LO's would you like to scraplift? We can't wait to see!
Here is my layout that I scraplifted from fellow DT member CLAIRE.

I stuck with the basic sketch.  Stayed with the theme of Hiking.  Added a few different embellies in the same places she has hers and sort of went to town on my journaling on both the left and right sides of all the white space. Thank you Claire for inspiring me this week!!

Where it all happens!! LM #165 - "Creative Space"

Hi everyone!  Been missing this little corner of my world lately!  But surely made up for it this last week.  I've been busy making a special request for a good friend/co-worker of mine that makes jewelry.  I made her 60 earring cards to "House" her handmade earrings.  I will share with you all in a few days.  :)  Also took on making a couple of Halloween costumes for my kiddos.  So needless to say, not much personal crafting for me.
Which is why this next challenge over at Lasting Memories is so perfect!!
Let's see your "CREATIVE SPACE."  

I have a small space in our downstairs.  My desk is rather large, but I didn't show that very well here, did I?  I was actually excited to do this challenge, for my goal is to get all of my paper that sits on my ground or in baskets, either used or organized in a different way.  I have a lot of stuff crammed in my "Corner" and it's not by any certain means of organization.  I just sort of remember where everything is and "Find" things every now and again.  :)

Need to do this challenge in about a year and see what changes.    

This is also layout # 9 of our DT's 50 layout challenge.  Slowly but surely!!  

I am also entering this over at...STUCK. using their November 1st sketch reveal.

I "enlarged" the sketch for my needs.

SOCCER MOM - Featured on the Fresh Brewed Designs challenge blog TODAY!!!

Hello Wednesday!!  I have a fun post for you all today!  I am excited to be showcasing the very first creation made/posted (by me) in blog land with this image from  Heather Dennis from Fresh Brewed Designs.  :) "SOCCER MOM"

She had posted a question on her Facebook Page recently asking "If you could have any digital image created, what would it be?"  I responded with a Soccer Mom holding a coffee. And guess what... She did it!!!   Lucky Me!!!   I see many Thank You, Hello or any kind of fun cards being shared with many of my Soccer Mom friends.  I have a fun Scrapbook layout in mind as well! Now this Soccer Mom looks very put together!!  Trust me... as much as I would like to be, I am usually sporting the baseball hat or ponytail with sweats (jeans on a good day) and hoodie sweatshirts on game days.  Besides being a soccer mom... I also help my Husband coach our son's team.  So I get right into the thick of it. I can only dream that I will sport this this look one morning. Thank you Heather!!  This was super fun to put together!! You are talented!!!! You can further see my card featured on Heather's blog today HERE.
