Lasting Memories Ch. # 72 - "A REAL Treat"

It's time for Lasting Memories Layout Challenge # 72!!!  A "Recipe" Challenge.
Denise, my DT friend and Challenge Coordinator, came up with a FAB idea!! It's a recipe challenge, but not a crafty recipe!! We're going all out with REAL recipes this week!! We want you to share your recipes with us - food, drink, bath salts, body rubs - that sort of thing!! Something that we can all try ourselves!! You'll see a lot of different idea's from the DT, so have fun hopping around to visit us everyone and then go back to link up your recipe HERE!!!!   Due date is Saturday, January 28th @ 9pm EST.
AND...We have another giveaway from Stacia this week!!  You need to go to LMCB to see what she is giving away for playing with us!!

Here is my take...

This is just not any ol' Popcorn!!  This is my Hubby's version of some DANG good popcorn... and it probably would not be considered a "Healthy Snack."

Close-up of Left page.  Banners and a REAL popcorn bag from the movie theaters.

Close-up of Right page.  Banners, recipe and journaling that reads.. "It was the kid's first time experiencing a popcorn air popper topped off with Daddy's extra ingredients made for a very tasty snack."
(They have only ever had microwave popcorn.)

And the very easy, cheesy, buttery, salty, seasoned recipe!!  :-)

I love how this turned out.  It's a pretty simple experience that I managed to highlight with some fun papers and embellishments!  This  just solidifies why I scrapbook!!

I also used a SKETCH from Sketches in Thyme - Thursday Takes #67 to help me!!  Love this 2-pager.
You have until January 31st to join in on their fun.

I would say the joy of seeing your kiddo's see a popcorn air popper for the first time is pretty cool and a SIMPLE pleasure. :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Now go get your scrap on!

Great layout. I love the banner and the giant popcorn box. Also love how you jazzed up the C. I always like layouts with series of pics.

THIS is the way all popcorn should be made!! :) I love air-popped popcorn (it's SO hard to find anymore!)... And growing up, we would always load it up with LOTS of butter (we even had the deluxe air popper with the automatic butter tray -- HAHAHA!)... YUM... I am SO hungry now!! :)

Thanks so much for sharing your talent at Lasting Memories this week!! :)

Hey Michele!! Now this sounds yummy!! I love putting fresh grated cheese on stuff. My kid's love it on KD as well. Just adds that little bit more!! I don't think we have that Brand of seasoning salt, could we use a different one? Couldn't hurt to try? Your kids look super excited and love your LO this week!! Super fun!!

This is a great layout. I love the colors and the recipe. I cannot wait to try the recipe.
So my favorite parts of this layout (besides the pictures) is the Pop corn cutout and the banner.
