Happiest Birthday Wishes!! (Card)

Hello!  I have a fun card to share with you that I got to make at the request of my Hubby.  Always love those requests.  It's my excuse to go be creative.  :-)  Alot of the these items used on my card I just received a few days ago from Stampin' Up.  So I need to come back with the details of the supplies.  But until then... enjoy my card.  I am entering is a couple of challenges as well.

I used this great sketch from the sweetest thing - sweet Sunday sketch 153 as my inspiration beginning.  Love Karen's sketches and don't get to play as often as I'd like!!

And I also found a new challenge blog to me.. Ribbon Carousel Challenge # 42  Anything Goes... but you need to show something that comes on a Spool for their challenges.  I have the chocolate chip ribbon and the Baker's Twine in my button.

Enjoy!!  All Supplies are from Stampin' Up except the 2 random lavendar buttons in the corner.  They are all mostly newer items.  Will back with the details.

I thought I would share the very first BIRTHDAY of our son in 2006.  Yes he is now 5 1/2 and I am just now scrappin' his baby pictures.  I am not a chronological scrapper... which I think I have shared with you before.  So sorry for the reminder... :-).  I scrap for the moment.  But I personally need the reminder to get  my rear in gear and get the kid's scrapbooks up to date before they are living their own adult life somewhere.  Can't believe this bundle of cuteness is now a little guy running around playing sports, reading and having mature conversations with me.  {SIGH}

Hope you can join us this week!  Make sure you check out what the rest of the wonerful Design Team has done!  Grab your coffee and go HERE to see.  You have until Saturday, March 3rd @ 9pm EST to link up.  Happy Scrappin!!
And here's what you can win!!! How COOL are these!!!!
Personalized tags from ARTchix!!  I want some!!

I also followed the below sketch from Creative Scrappers , so I will be entering my layout over there.  You have until the 29th, if you want to play along.

Supplies:
Stampin' Up - Simply Scrappin' Kit "I'm Here - Boy", Big Deal Alpha stamps, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, So Saffron cardtsock.  Some random buttons, baker's twine, 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.

LMCB # 75 "All You Need is Love"... and another Giveaway for joining us!!

Hello and Happy Sunday everyone!!  I first want to say a BIG Thank You to those of you that are always visitng and leaving wonderful comments.  I really enjoy reading each and every one.  I am continuously smiling from your compliments and encouragement!  Thank you!!!!

Now on to our NEW challenge over at Lasting Memories.  "All you need is LOVE"... we want to see the word LOVE somewhere on your layout!!  You can certainly create a Valentine themed layout, but the word "Love"can be used in so many different ways and we want to see your different takes.

Here's mine...

My Hubby and I have "Date Nights" few and far between.  So whatever we may be doing, we always try to make the best of it.  Goofy and all.  This happened to be a night that we went to a friend's son's roll-out party for his new snowboarding clothing line.  Not exactly your most romantic date night, but we were together, without kids... enough said.  :-)  And... to top it off... we actually got a a good picture of the two of us.  So of course I have to scrap it.
A few more close-ups...  If you notice, I used the word LOVE twice on my layout.

Aaaaaannnnnnddddddd... we have another prize to give away to those of you that play with us this week!!  In honor of my Birthday TODAY... I am providing a fun little package of Valentine goodies to award to one lucky participant.

Two sets of clear stamps from Studio G.
Four spools of ribbon from American Crafts.
Two packages of Epoxy Bubbles stickers from Studio G.

So, gosh... now you really need to put Lasting Memories Ch. 75 on your to do list!!!  You have until Saturday, February 18th at 9pm EST to link up your layout!  Go HERE for all the details.

I am also entering my layout over at Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday LOVE challenge.

Now off to celebrate my birthday and enjoy my Mom's homemade lasagna and chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.  Of course!!  The only way to go!!
Hope you all have such a wonderful day.  And thanks for stopping by!

Scrappin' For Kenzie Blog Hop

Welcome to the Cards for Emily Blog Hop Day 1!!!
If you came from MARIE then you are in the right place! If you just happened to stop by my blog and are interested in the entire hop and Emily's story, start back at Michelle's blog at Scrappin' For Kenzie!
Emily is a sweet little 6 year old girl that has battled Leukemia since before Chrstmas 2011. She has had to endure more pain in a few short months than most adults in their entire life. She has gone from Leukemia to Rotavirus, to pancreatitis, to kidney stones, then to shingles, not to mention over 300 pokes in her tiny little body! From chemo to blood draws to feeding tube. Her bone marrow is finally at 0.00% so she is now in remission and back at home! She is still going through 7 different chemotherapy treatments but is finally doing better! To read her full story and updates please visit the original Cards for Emily info post HERE

For this hop all we ask is that you hop through the list, then when you are done, link up your card for Emily at Scrappin' for Kenzie. The link up tool is in the left hand side bar under "Cards for Emily". You will see her picture right above it.

Lasting Memories Layout Challenge # 74 "Going Digital" and LM's first Blog Hop!!

Welcome to our first hop of 2012 at Lasting Memories!!  I, (Michele) am the FIRST STOP... so welcome!!  If you would like to check out all of the details of our hop first, just click HERE to start at Lasting Memories! Please be sure to read through because this week we have a lot going on! We're being sponsored by Digi Darla which is PERFECT since this weeks challenge is "DIGITAL"!!

For my layout today, I used Digi Darla's "TIMMY TURTLE"
Here is what I created...  My daughter was very excited and anxious to go outside in the rain to test out her new umbrella and rain boots.  When to her surprise, the rain stopped and the sun came out.  So Daddy "Made Rain" with the garden hose and she thought that was pretty cool and I thought "How Silly"... so the camera came out. (Me inside from the living room window)  :-)

And a Close-up of Mr. Timmy Turtle... I colored him to match my daughter's umbrella and clothing.

And another close-up of embellies and fun papers.

And a final pic... I outlined the cloud, raindrops and alpha letters for more depth.

This is my VERY FIRST stab anything digital other than my photos.  If I can do it, YOU can too!!  It was very fun!!  I also followed the "Inspirational Sketch" from Lasting Memories for my layout this week.  You can see the details at the very end of this post.

And... I am also joining the gals at SCRAPFIT for their  Workout # 61 "Blank Canvas"... where you must start your layout with a piece of WHITE card stock and see where it takes you.

Supplies Used:
Echo Park - Springtime Collection
Stampin' Up - Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Melon Mambo Card stock.
INK:  Barely Banana, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, Gable Green, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade
Digi Darla - "Timmy Turtle"
Random Alpha Letters - Don't know Brand

Now it's time to hop onto ELIZABETH for more inspiration!! Oh and one more thing!! We're also including our friends from Digi Darla's DT in our blog hop and we'll finish up at Digi Darla's Designs where you can view her newest releases and more!! Once you've had a look around, leave Digi Darla a comment and let her know which image is your fav for your chance to win 5 of her images!!!

How's that for a busy funfilled week!!! Be sure to join us and show us your digital creations for a chance to win. All the details can be found at Lasting Memories .. Link up your layout by Saturday, February 11th at 9pm EST.. Here's your master list in case you get lost .. happy hopping!!!
