I always say that "Crumb Cake" is the new black.  I love using this color.  And how can you not like Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Elegant Eggplant?

Lasting Memories Layout Challenge 40 - Paper Piecing. Baby Shower 12x12 Layout

Hello!!  Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!!  A little longer weekend for us in the U.S. (Yahoo).   Well before you head out for your BBQ or Family get together... take a minute to check out the Lasting Memories Layout Challenge # 40 - All About Paper Piecing!! See what the fabulous Design Team members have to share with you.  Hopefully you will make some time for some crafting and Join Us!! 
When I think of Paper Piecing... I think of layering paper onto stamped images (to make it pop), layering paper onto diecut images or simply layering random diecuts or many different papers to create a cluster or background layering effect.  I use Paper Piecing on pretty much all of my layouts.  I chose the DIECUT layering method as my focus for my layout.  The baby bottles and baby rattles have little bits and pieces that I had to layer on to complete the image.  In general the whole layout is paper pieced.  Here is what I created:

This was my 2nd baby shower for my Daughter over 8 years ago... that we didn't know she was going to be a Girl.  Thus the blue and pink and the lovely colors of GREEN and YELLOW.  Many many things... believe it or not... come in those colors for babies.  We used every single item.  :-)  Hope you enjoy and come join us at Lasting Memories.!!!!

I am also entering my layout into the Throwback Thursday Challenge with My Creative Time where you had to use an "Older" cricut cartridge (I used New Arrival & George/Basic shapes) and incorporate Green and Yellow somewhere on the project.

PPC 59 - Fun in the Sun card.

Good morning Monday!!  It's time for another color combo challenge at Picture Perfect Creations .  I love these colors that Megan picked out.  Although taking a photo of my card at night does not do the Marina Mist color much justice.  It's a much brighter color in person.  When something calls for "Marina Mist"... I think Water, Pools, Lakes and Rivers.  So I went for a summer themed card that could go for either Masculine or Feminine.  Here is what I came up with...

I also followed the Sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 118.  It was perfect for my stamp image that I wanted to use.  Karen comes up with some GREAT sketches.

LMCH 38 - Sketch and All about Circles - 12 x 12 Soccer Layout

Welcome to the BEST day of the week in my opinion!!  Happy Sunday everyone!  And to add to your wonderful Sunday morning... I have a layout to share for Lasting Memories Layout Challenges.  Challenge 38 is to follow the below SKETCH and use CIRCLES.
Well, when I saw the sketch... Soccer and Soccer Balls came to mind.  This was perfect to document our daughter's very first soccer game last year.  Her first ever Team, Game and GOAL.  We were quite proud!!

Hidden MOTHER'S DAY card revealed

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday!!  I can finally show my card that I made for my wonderful MOM for Mother's Day.  She really liked it... of course I always enjoy that first reaction from her and anyone when opening up a handmade card.  It's the best feeling!!  I think you can all relate.
I used the sketch from over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday #100, but missed the time to link my card.  Over at Creative Sisters Mon. Ch. 7  you had to use MAY FLOWERS.

Good morning fellow crafters and bloggers!!  It's Monday... and that means it's time for another Picture Perfect Creations.. crafty challenge # 58.  Here is my take on the color combo...

I am pleased with how this turned out... but will be the first to admit... when I first saw the colors... I was immediately thinking FALL and Leaves and all that fun stuff.  Perfect colors for a Pumpkin Patch scrapbook page or a Thanksgiving card... but found it in me to create for SPRING... which we are lacking there of where I live.  So maybe this will help for the sunshine to come out!!

"All About You" layout - Lasting Memories Challenge 36

Today, I am being introduced over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges as my first official DT submission.  The challenge is to create an "All About Me" layout.  At first... I thought... Oh... PPC 57 - Flutterly "Thinking of You" Card

Good morning!!  It's time for another FUN color combo challenge at PICTURE PERFECT CREATIONS... crafty challenges this week.  These colors remind me of Spring fluttering into Summer.  They also happen to be the same colors I used to decorate my college dorm room (Pink and Green) a VERY long time ago.  Now there is a flashback!!
I decided to make a simple "Thinking of you" card for a good friend of mine that recently lost her Dad.  I hope it makes her smile a tiny bit when she receives it.
